"CAN HE BLAST IT?"

Dang right, he can! Still my favourite character from Star Wars, and also the coolest ever action figure, it was only a matter of time until I "Bob the Buildered" him. I've posted this in response to comments in the past both on here and on the blogs of Paul, Nik and Andy. I did mention that at one time I was often asked to do comic/film characters in the style of Bob - this first began at signings at festivals, and soon spread to bookstore and school appearances. I'll dig out the character doodles I've done of other infamous Bobified folk as and when, so they'll turn up on here intermittently.

Work back on track now after Lottie's arrival. Frankenstein's Cat designs come thick and fast, am opening my laptop for a bit of novel writing again tonight (have had a two month break from the book and am itching to get back to it, it's conclusion now resolved) and have also secured the services of Ian Culbard to co-write and animate a bonafide Biteneck Beatniks pilot episode/trailer.

Bada Bling!

My Mandalorian smelled of pee.

I used to have him stood well away from all my other Star Wars figures.

Mine spent his whole time with a fork prong jammed into his jet pack as I was convinced that missile was meant to come out. Was also obsessed with the way his trousers tucked into his boots.

Ace pic Mr. Jobling.

super! you should do more characters from star wars!!

Very nice. Didn't you say you did a Hellboy/bob too?

Paul - yep, "Hellbob". That's up next. Followed by "Bobzilla". At this point in time I'd suggest requests for what folk want to see! Judging by the flurry of posts it's obviously hit the right kitsch/preschool/fanboy buttons! :-D

Brian - Sideshow do some great toys. Shall have a looksee at that stuff...

Rubber Chicken - name 'em!

Nik - So much so that you went right through high school with your pants tucked into your Clarks? No? That was just me? *ahem*

INJun - whose pee? Please bear in mind these were plastic toys and ergo were not empowered with the mortal ability to urinate. Did your Boba Fett go on deep space explorations into your trolleys? Go on man. Admit it. Get it out in the open, you'll feel much better!

Boba Fett used to be as cool as this Piccy...then they made him a kid !! Do Princess Leia next,I mean draw her, then have her kick the crap outta Padme :)

sawweeeet!

Glazey - I think the idea is that the name "BOB" can make it into the character name somehow. Leia and Padme don't work alas!

Bobby - cheers man, thanks for calling by :-)

Seeing as I was rewatching it last night, any chance of A-Bob-inal Dr. Phibes? Actually, think I'm gonna do a pic of the good doctor.

Great stuff! More star wars! Keep it comin'.

OK, so, am I right in thinking that STAR WARS was a popular genre for "Bobification"???

GREEBOB?
JABBOB THE HUTT?
CHEWBOBBA?

From other genres we got:

HELLBOB
BOBZILLA
ABOBINABLE DR PHIBES
ROBOBOB

Star Wars characters as well as others then please folks!

This seems to have shifted effortlessly into requests for Bobified UK light entertainment hosts of the 60's! Just for the American readers of this blog, eh? :-D Apologies!

paulhd said...

Is Bob-head the cenobite Bob with nails in his head or a monster with Bobs in his head?

BOB Carolgees!!!

You're all just being silly now.

No stars of British light entertainment and let that be an end to it!

Why not reverse the process, and have Bub the Builder, Bub being Day of the Dead Bub of course.

BOB-o the clown

OK, Nik's Bub the Builder is a shoe-in for sure. He'll definitely shamble his way onto the blog at some point in time. Not like these thumbnails take very long to do, either. Scribble here, scribble there, and Bob's your Auntie's live-in lover... there's another one!!
