Can he fix it? Crikey, he can!

Occasionally my work on Bob the Builder turns up an interesting and unusual design request, more often than not when we have a new character making a cameo in the show. This design was done for an episode recently and featured a cheeky, chirpy Antipodean adventurer who bore than a passing resemblance to the late great danger-seeker, Mr Steve Irwin. I know it's a little late in the day after Steve's passing but felt obliged to put it on the blog for all to see, having stumbled across it in my sketchbook. Watched his memorial service last week. Truly top bloke and bless his little daughter for her brave speech.

Thanks for sharing Curtis. I know it's been said a million times, but I really, really, really can't believe he's gone, it just seems unreal. He was like a superhero, Superenthusiasmman!
And have to agree, his daughter was incredibly brave, really did him proud.

This is great Curtis! It's always nice to see a kids show with a solid design style.

What we amount to in death is memories for those we leave behind. Death is a reminder that life is worth living and we can be immortalized by the life we choose to live; the lessons we have learned being handed down for generations to come.

I'm not one to believe much of what is reported in the tabloids but 'apparently' there have been a number of stingray mutilations following Irwin's death.

It's the sort of story I hope isn't true.

We haven't told our little one he's dead yet, she's only just fallen in love with his shows. Super picture. How is Mrs Bling & the bump?

Cheers chaps and chapess. Little Bindi was a sweetheart, incredibly brave. It's a measure of the man and the impact he had on us that we're all to a man affected by his sad death.

INJun, those mutilations DID tak place. Idiots indeed.

Slimbola - cheers my man!

Cassie - Mrs Bling is very well, bump is very big. She's taken Evie off to a teashop for cakey fun this afternoon, lucky lady....

A fine tribute to Mr Irwin Mr Bling.
The stingray mutilation story is true, unbelievably so, cause Steve Irwin would really want that. Jeez!
Zombies love cake? Cake and brains, a marvelous combo!
